Making a video-comic

Once you have finished the comic,  SAVE the power-point as  "Intercambio de archivos JPEG".

Open "Windows Movie Maker"(from Inicio-Programas) and open the file with the comic in JPEG

Now, you can do a movie using the pictures you've created before.

Add music, sound effects, and all you want, and SAVE it, but IMPORTANT: Don't save it as a PROJECT, save it as a MOVIE (Guardar película- archivo para ordenador)

You can download music from youtube using the programm a-Tube Catcher. I recommend you to use some music from the opera. Example: Aria "The Queen of the Night", "Papageno and Papagena" or the "Overture from Magic Flute" (Check it on Youtube)

For some music and other effects, check this web: banco de sonidos

Please, no more than 10 seconds per screen.

You must finish today and fold it in my pendrive.

Create a comic: "The Magic Flute"

The task for this project is to create a comic about the Magic flute. You will use an online tool to create the different strips, and then, a power point presentation to save the pictures. There are the steps you might follow:

1. Go to the SCRIPT and download the whole story. Then, think about the strips you want to do to summarize the story. It can be useful to make an outline or sketch in a sheet of paper.

2. Go to the website to create your own comic. This is the link: http://bitstrips.com/create/comic/

3. Select ONE PANEL: go to "LAYOUT", and then, "New Yorker".

4. Go to ART LIBRARY and choose the characters, scenes, effects, etc. Important:
  • Don't make a lot of changes, it takes time and you have to create more than one picture.
  • Think about the feelings of the characters and modify the gesture, the faces (eyes, eyebrows, mouth, etc) You can find the tools for that clicking on "CONTROLS".
5.  Create a TEXT BUBBLE. Write simple sentences to summarize the action.

6. When you finish the cartoon, press the key "Imp Pant" or "Print Screen" you can find on your computer. It makes a copy of the screen.

7. Open a Power Point screen, and "paste" the image.

8. Cut the picture and adapt the size.

9. Save the power-point file in your pen-drive and continue with the next strip.
